Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Our optometrist takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctor:
Born and raised on Long Island NY, Dr. Bennett attended SUNY College of Optometry graduating in 1994. She continued to live and work in the Metro NYC area for a decade or so before relocating to Richmond Va in 2011.
She enjoys providing primary eye care, that way she touches on all aspects of optometry. Each day she sees patients in her office from age 3 all the way through 90 years young! She is dedicated to giving her patients excellent service and educating them in how to maintain their eyesight.
Additionally, she enjoys working with children and is passionate that they receive full eye exams so they can excel in school. She has dedicated part of her time to going to schools to give eye exams since 1996.
Many patients remark that Dr. Bennett takes time to do a very thorough eye exam, explaining each part as she goes along putting her patients at ease.
